Because somebody has to…

Moe Mekuri 2.5

Developer: Kohei Gallery

Cost: 1 dollar

(Note: Moe Mekuri 2.5 replaced Moe Mekuri 2, which is no longer available. I’ve replaced the review of that, with the review of this. This is the 2.0 review with minor text changes, as little has changed).

I wouldn’t review creepy anime games if they just faded into obscurity and nobody bought them, but that doesn’t happen. Case in point, Moe Mekuri, the best selling puzzle game on XBIG, It was also the sickest, most offensive game xbig game I’ve ever played, making me feel dirty, cheated and one step away from quitting.  You see, in that game, as you beat levels, you stripped off the clothes of underage girls and once you beat the special levels, you could fondle their breasts.

In the sequel, you still strip the clothes off underage girls and in the newly released version 2.5, you can also see then in school girl uniforms by beating the new special difficulty(at least I hope that’s the reward).  “But wait, they have bigger breasts this time, you can see it from the cover, so they can’t be underage.” Give me break, it doesn’t matter how big you make the rack if they still are drawn as 10 year olds.

This is still a child.

In fact, the addition of breasts can make things even creepier, as certain girl’s default outfits make them look flat-chested 10-year-olds, only to get the next picture, and suddenly they have huge breasts with curvy bodies. right….

Wait there are puzzles?

Moe Mekuri 2.5, like it’s predecessor, also features an addicting puzzle game play, but honestly its secondary. The puzzles are simply there to make this seem like something other than a creppy anime game where you strip the clothes off underage girls.

Even the developer knows this, as the blurb states:

It’s a Moe-moe puzzle game that perfectly reflects the developer’s appetites interests!

Appetite interest for underage girls!

This is getting a garbage rating as like last time, I can’t in good consciousness recommend this to anyone, even if the puzzling is very good. You may not be fondling girls this time around, but  Moe Mekuri 2.5 is still a very creepy game. And if you’ve already bought Moe Mekuri 2, please don’t waste even more money, I did and I feel dirty for doing so.

P.S. Changing the marketing bulb still doesn’t change the fact the dev is still a creepy pervert.

  1. dude, i emailed you about the fact that the creator likes cosplay, which is moe, and mekuri means puzzles,
now just because the characters are petite, doesnt mean they are loli, or under age,
personally i enjoy this game because i have a major interest in japanese culture and anime,
puzzles are a fun hobby of mine.
please stop bashing the japanese, they are better than us for the fact that they have less crime rates of all kinds and that they have a more stable economy and a non crazy government.

also have you posted that review i sent on SEncounter?

    • First off, Japan is a fine country and I have given several Japanese games a spot on the Must Play listing(Ninja 360 and the 8-bit fanatics games). And they don’t need defending from you. Also no I didn’t post the review because I don’t do guest reviews.
